The following works were left to the Metropolitan Museum of Art following William K Vanderbilt I’s death in 1920. Four of the paintings had previously been lent to the Metropolitan in 1907. At this time, we do not know which of Mr. Vanderbilt’s estates was the home of these works of art, prior to their arrival at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. For more information see:
