West Gate House

Also known As: 4 Connetquot Drive

Private Residence. Designed by the architect, Richard Morris Hunt , it was built in 1889. Vanderbilt’s guests would disembark the LIRR Train here when they came to visit. The building is sometimes referred to as the “Pouting House.”
