Description Inside Card:
A landmark on the W.K. Vanderbilt estate, “Idle Hour,” the “Clock Tower” marked the entrance to the farm area. There was a water tower on the top. The bell was the signal for the workers to begin and end their work day, and was also rung to alert the men of an emergency. 1966 Series Adelphi Historical Society
