Study Abroad
International Exchange Program in the University of Lima, Peru.
Dowling College offers students the opportunity to study one or two semesters at the University of Lima in Peru. Because classes are taught in Spanish, candidates must know how to communicate and write in Spanish, or they are required to complete at least 12 credits in the target language, before applying to the U. of Lima. The candidate must submit a Statement of Purpose to Dr. Isaac Rosler, Dowling Coordinator of the Exchange Program at the U. of Lima, and be a full time student at Dowling with a GPA of at least 3.0.
The University of Lima is a modern college with state of the art facilities in every discipline, and it is located in the midst of a residential and commercial neighborhood. Although there are no dorms at the college, there are plenty of affordable apartments for rent around the university. In addition, there is a special welcoming committee at the U. of Lima called PALS (Programa de Amigos Extranjeros) which helps every Dowling student to adapt to the college life. PALS also assists newcomers with finding appropriate places to live around campus.
You may visit the U. of Lima Web page at: www.ulima.edu.pe
Students may also write directly to Ana Cecilia Villacorta Salvador, who is the Coordinator of International Relations at the U. of Lima: avillaco@ulima.edu.pe
