For more than 30 years, Dowling's H.E.O.P. has enabled students to hurdle the academic and financial barriers facing them. Through this program, Dowling College has graduated hundreds of students who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to procure a college degree.

Through its five-week intensive Summer Preparatory Program, the H.E.O.P. prepares inquisitive minds to face the rigors of collegiate life by offering developmental work in math, writing, reading comprehension, study skills and computer technology. Its myriad support services during the academic year alleviate many obstacles that can impede a student's pursuit of a degree. Personal attention and commitment of dedicated staff encouraged students to pursue careers as airline pilots, social workers, teachers, engineers, doctors, lawyers and business executives.
