Program for College Students with Learning Disabilities L.D. Program
Dowling College's Program for College Students with Learning
Disabilities is a small, individualized program that provides
for:
Cognitive Development
One-to-one tutoring services, two hours per week, conducted
by a graduate student with expertise in the field of Learning
Disabilities and supervised by the Program director
Affective Development
Counseling services available
In addition, the Program offers:
- Support services in word processing and language development
- A liaison between individual professors and students
- Weekly writing workshops
- A freshman college orientation for course requirements
geared to the specific needs of students with learning disabilties
How Does One Apply?
Apply to Dowling's Director of Enrollment Services for admittance
to the College. Once you have been accepted, request that you
be considered for the Program. Because of the wide array of
services available, there is a fee for this wonderful Program. Click here for
