Q. What is the capacity of your Residence Halls?
A. Oakdale: 200 (there is a total of 50 apartments); Brookhaven: 289 (there is a total of 70 apartments)
Q. What room format is available?
A. Oakdale: 4-person apartments; Brookhaven: Studio, 2-person private, 4 persons / 2 bedrooms, 6 persons / 3 bedrooms.
Q. Is there transportation between the Oakdale and Brookhaven campuses?
A. Yes, shuttle buses run every 25 minutes (approximately) to accommodate class schedules. The shuttle also makes stops at local grocery stores.
Q. What activities can I participate in?
The Student Government Association (SGA) and RAs organize many programs and activities, such as movie nights, ice cream socials, and barbecues. See more about Dowling’s clubs and organizations.
Q. Can freshman keep cars on campus during their first semester?
A. Yes. You need to register your vehicle with the Campus Safety Office and receive a Dowling College parking permit.
Q. Is there security in the residence halls?
A. Yes. There is a Campus Safety Officer on duty at the entrance to both residence halls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Only individuals with proper ID are permitted into the buildings.
