Housing and Dining
If you are interested in residing at Dowling College Residence Halls, please complete a Housing Application as soon as possible and send it, along with a $200 Room and Board deposit, to the Office of Residence Life, found in the Residence Hall. You can also mail your application and deposit to: Office of Residence Life, 150 Idle Hour Blvd, Oakdale, NY 11769.
Each apartment is furnished and has a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and common area, but all necessary supplies such as dishes, cooking and eating utensils, blankets, pillows, bed linen, towels and other items must be provided by the student. You will be provided a more comprehensive list of items to bring (and not to bring) when you receive your housing assignment package prior to moving into the residence hall.
There is a mandatory meal plan which will be provided for you if you choose to live in residence hall. As part of your room and board fee, you are provided with $1200 per semester. You may also purchase an expanded meal plan if the minimum food plan is not sufficient.
Proof of medical insurance coverage, proof of immunizations and the meningococcal meningitis vaccination response form are all required. More information can be found on the Housing Application above.
If you have any questions about accommodations, please contact Residence Life at 631-244-3017 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are some apartments in the areas surrounding Dowling’s campuses, which range from $2,400 to $3,300 per semester (approximately $800 – $1,100 per month), depending on the size, quality and number of bedrooms. Be prepared to leave the first and last months’ rent along with a security deposit. Students are responsible for locating their own off-campus apartment.
