Our Crisis Intervention Plan

Dowling College’s Crisis Intervention Plan provides specific procedures to manage a crisis on either campus. Under this initiative, a “crisis” is defined as an unexpected occurrence where a person’s behavior requires immediate attention to protect the safety of that person or others.

Once an emergency call is placed:

  • Security will assess the situation.
  • Security will contact off-campus emergency response personnel if needed.
  • Appropriate college administrators will be contacted.
  • Security will monitor the situation until it is resolved.

In order to put this process in motion, call Security immediately by dialing extension 88 at either campus, or extension 3060 at Oakdale and extension 1317 at Brookhaven.
