Dowling College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104, (267)284-5606. The Middle States Commission on Highter Education is an institutional accrediting agency recongnized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

All degree programs are authorized and approved by the New York State Education Department.

The School of Business is also accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), located in Olathe, Kansas. The business programs in the following degrees are accredited by the IACBE:
