Major: Aviation Management
Dowling has successfully prepared individuals for positions as career pilots and aviation professionals for over 30 years. To ensure Dowling's position as a leader in aviation education, and to prepare our students for the next generation of growth and technological innovation, the School of Aviation is committed to the ongoing enhancement of our program.

Resources include the integration of multi-media classroom presentations, on-site weather radar, a state-of-the-art air traffic control (ATC) lab, realistic flight training devices, and a modern fleet of aircraft equipped with IFR Global Position Systems (GPS), color moving map displays, and traffic information systems (TIS). In addition, qualifying students have the opportunity to expand and apply their academic knowledge through aviation internships.

As an aviation management major, you will acquire an understanding of the business world in general and a comprehensive understanding of the U.S. commercial airline industry in particular. You will become familiar with the regulatory environment in which today's commercial airlines function, the impact of a competitive marketplace, and the variety of challenges that today's air transport industry faces.

Career Outcomes: Aviation Management
Your Dowling aviation management degree prepares you for a career as a manager in marketing/sales, operations, and finance for airports, airlines, fixed base operators, government agencies, and consulting firms.
