Anyone that has ever dreamed of digging real dinosaur bones at an active paleontological research site will have that opportunity
through a two-week visit to the Badlands organized through the Dowling Institute in collaboration with the Earth & Marine Science
Department of Dowling College and The Science Museum of Long Island.
The group departed from New York City on July 8, 2003 and return July 19, 2003. The itinerary includes working to uncover and identify
40-million-year-old dinosaur bones at a site is in the Badlands of South Dakota and Wyoming. Study of geology, earth history and native
American culture will also take place through side trips to Mt. Rushmore, Badlands National Park, Crazy Horse Monument, Tower, the Black
Hills Institute, and the Museum of Geology in Rapid City.
