Dowling Women Take Gold At Prestigious Dad Vail Regatta


Philadelphia, PA- Dowling College's women's varsity four won the championship at the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia, PA, May 8-9.

The women's four topped 44 other college programs and beat their nearest opponent by five seconds in what is considered the top regatta in U.S. collegiate rowing. The men's varsity eight placed sixth behind Temple, Purdue, Marietta, Grand Valley, and West Point.

Senior rowers Ximena Marinero (San Salvador, El Salvador), Jelena Petrovic (Belgrade, Yugoslavia), and Milana Glisic (Mladenovac, Yugoslovia) captured Dad Vail gold medals for the second time in three years (2002, 2004) with the varsity four win.
