Dowling College's Oldest Professor Releases Four CD Recordings

OAKDALE, NY – Carlo Lombardi, Professor Emeritus of Music in Dowling College's School of Arts and Sciences, has released four CD recordings, with more to follow. The CD's can be purchased at www.cdbaby.com. The recordings include Chopin Piano Masterpieces, Russian Piano Masterpieces, Beethoven Piano Masterpieces and Liszt Piano Masterpieces.

Carlo Lombardi is described as "a great and original pianist" whose colossal piano technique and stupendous virtuosity together with his hypnotic and overwhelmingly impelling musical style result in the most spectacular and mesmerizing performances ever recorded.

Dr. Lombardi has been a professor at Dowling College for 45 years, teaching in the School of Arts and Sciences. Currently he is teaching Music in Western Civilization. Dr. Lombardi holds a Mus B from the Manhattan School of Music, an MS from Queens College and a PhD New York University.
