Classes Start on March 24th For Dowling College's Certified Financial Planning Certificate Program

Dowling College is registered with Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. (CFP Board) and offers a financial planning certificate program. According to the CFP Board, the CFP certification continues to be one of the most recognized financial planning credentials and trails only the CPA among all financial services credentials. Classes begin on-line or in-class at the Melville Center on March 24th.

Students completing the financial planning program at Dowling College will be eligible to sit for the national CFP® Certification Examination administered by the CFP Board. Students who pass the examination and fulfill the work experience and ethics requirements may be entitled to this certification.

In addition, completion of Dowling College's Certificate in Financial Planning will help prepare individuals for career options such as: a personal financial advisor, a financial analyst, a financial advisor, a credit analyst, a portfolio manager, a risk or investment analyst, a financial specialist, or a tax planning advisor. Each non-credit course is $575 and includes materials. The schedule is as follows:

On-Line Schedule:
COURSE: FP 1 - Financial Planning: Theory, Practice and Ethics runs from March 24 - April 28th
COURSE: FP 3 -Risk Management and Insurance Planning runs from May 5 - June 23rd

Melville Location:
COURSE: FP 1 - Financial Planning: Theory, Practice and Ethics runs on Mondays from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. from March 24 - April 28th
COURSE: FP 2 - Investment Planning runs on Mondays from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. from May 5 - June 23rd
