Help a Family in your Community for the Thanksgiving Holiday

Nothing is More Honorable than a Generous Heart

Looking to make a difference in the lives of families in our local community that are in need? Help the Psychology Club have a successful 7th Annual Psychology Thanksgiving Food Drive. The Food Drive is starting today through Thanksgiving and "donation tubs" will be placed all around campus.

The Psychology Club has a goal to collect 2,000 pounds of food this year. Their hope is to exceed last year's amount of food that topped 1,700 pounds. Individuals are asked to shop for themselves and for the less fortunate. Since the food pantries on Long Island are running low, with the help of the community, our Thanksgiving Food Drive usually helps around 100 families. Please dig deep and bring in your food items. This project is being run in cooperation with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, which distributes the collected food items to the needy families.

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to benefit these families in need and make a difference in our community. Take initiative and help the 2007 Thanksgiving Food Drive reach its goal of a "ton" of food.
