Dowling College's Educational Efforts Inspire the Public to Be
Environmentally Conscious and Responsible
Protecting human health and the environment, including our delicate water system, is a critical issue and Dowling College's Department of Earth and Marine Sciences is encouraging personal responsibility in these areas through a series of educational lectures. The Earth Science Lecture Series will take place from 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the Fortunoff Hall Hunt Room at Dowling's Rudolph Campus in Oakdale and the schedule is as follows:

These lectures will feature Sidney Horenstein, American Museum of Natural History Geologist and Environmental Educator Emeritus, (retired). Horenstein is also author of The Geology & History of Inwood Hill and Isham Parks in Manhattan, Linnean Society Special Publication (2007); Rocks Tell Stories (1993); co-author of Simon & Schuster's Guide to Fossils (with Paolo Arduini & Giorgio Teruzzi) (1987).
