Dowling College presents a 12-week Community Education Series Learn About Drug Education Prevention Through Films& Discussion, Questions & Answers

OAKDALE, NY - Dowling College Health Services is featuring a Drug Education Prevention Program sponsored free of charge by Town of Islip ACCESS. This program will be held on Wednesdays, from February 7 - May 2 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the Fortunoff Hall Study. There will be no class held on April 4th.

The schedule will be as follows:

February 7 - Overview of Substance Abuse and Addiction
February 14 - Alcohol and Alcoholism
February 21 - Overview of Prescription Drug Abuse
February 28 - Cocaine, Crack, Heroin, and Methadone
March 7 - Young People: Drugs of Abuse: Marijuana-Club Drugs
March 14 - Women and Substance Abuse
March 21 - Co-Dependency and ACOA
March 28 - Substance Abuse and The Elderly: A Deadly Mix
April 11 - Parents: Get Informed
April 18 - Violence and Alcohol/Drugs: The Anger Continues
April 25 - Health Risks of Substance Abuse
May 2 - Recovery: Issues, Resources and Relapse: Prevention
