Warm Your Heart This Winter: Enjoy Free Music Concerts at Dowling College
Dowling College's musical ensembles are preparing for their winter music concert series with captivating performances scheduled throughout December. All performances will take place in the Fortunoff Hall Ballroom on Dowling's Rudolph Campus in Oakdale and are free and open to the public. Please call 631-244-3351 prior to the performance to confirm date and time.
Long Island String Quartet
The Long Island String Quartet will perform on Sunday, December 3 at 3:00 p.m. Selections will include "Sextet Opus 48" by Antonin Dvorak and "Transfigured Night" by Arnold Schoenberg.
Dowling Jazz Ensemble
The Dowling Jazz Ensemble, directed by Richie Cruz, will be performing on Monday, December 4 at 8:00 p.m. The performance includes "Christmas Medley" by Carl Strommen, "String of Pearls" by Glenn Miller, and "Michael Angelo" by Ástor Piazzolla.
Dowling Chorus
The Dowling Chorus, directed by Ronald Armanini, will be performing on Tuesday, December 12 at 8:15 p.m. The chorus will perform "Setting Sail" by Carl Strommen, "Adon Olam" by Kenneth Lampl (Premier Performance) and "Grand Mass in C Minor" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Dowling Symphony Orchestra
The Dowling Symphony Orchestra, directed by Reynard Burns, will be performing on Thursday, December 14 at 7:00 p.m. The program includes "Reginhard Variations" by Reynard Burns, "Overture to the Magic Flute" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and "Rosamunde Overture" by Franz Schubert.
