Dowling Hosts Mathematical Association of America Meeting On May 7

The Metro NY Section of the Mathematical Association of America will conduct its annual meeting at Dowling College on May 7 from 8:30 a.m. - 5:10 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Registration is $10 ($3 for students); lunch is $15. Anyone interested in attending may contact Sandy Monteferrante, Professor of Mathematics at 631-244-3178.

Panel discussion: Mathematicians Involved in School Mathematics
Moderator: Ann Davidian, MacArthur High School, Levittown.
Panelists: Roger Howe, Yale University; Alexander Karp, Columbia Teacher's College; Alan Tucker, SUNY at Stony Brook.

Book exhibits will be open in the Conservatory, contributed papers available for viewing in Kramer Science Center.
