Two Dowling Students Win Diamond Scholarships

Two Dowling College students were named recipients of $1,200 Women in Technology Forum Diamond Awards scholarships on December 2.

The winners were Josephine Passantino, a junior from Wading River and Kathleen Galletta, a senior from Blue Point, NY. Both women are working toward a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. They were among four total recipients honored for their educational commitments to technology.

The Women in Technology Forum is a strategic alliance between the Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women and LISTnet (Long Island Software and Technology Network), whose mission is to "increase the awareness and support of educational and career opportunities for women in technology on Long Island." WIT Forum founding co-presidents Jeanine Bondi and Peter Goldsmith presented the scholarship to Josephine at the Third Annual Forum held December 2 at the Long Island Business and Technology Center in Great River.
