Dowling College 'Row for Life' Raises $7,000 For American Cancer Society

More than $7,000 was raised for the American Cancer Society during the first-ever "Row for Life", an indoor rowing challenge held at Dowling College
 
More than $7,000 was raised for the American Cancer Society during the first-ever "Row for Life", an indoor rowing challenge at Dowling College's Oakdale Campus on Sunday, March 5. The event, organized by Dowling College's crew teams, featured several indoor rowing machines where participants logged a combined hundreds of kilometers.

Throughout the event participants learned proper rowing machine technique from Former German National Team Rower Anika Selle and Head Coach Peter Lee. New York State Assemblywoman Ginny Fields was on hand to welcome participants. The event also featured an outside walking area, a kid's corner, refreshments, and entertainment. More than 100 people participated in this inaugural event and rowing continued throughout the day.
