Dowling Hosts Local Fifth Graders For Special Performance of 'The Nutcracker'

Dowling College hosted fifth grade students from Idle Hour Elementary School in Oakdale and Meadowbrook Elementary School in East Meadow for a special performance of "The Nutcracker" on Friday, December 15.

The classic holiday ballet, performed by Bay Shore's Lumiere Ballet Company, began in the Conservatory with cookies and egg nog and finished in the Ballroom of the historic William K. Vanderbilt's Idle Hour mansion on Dowling's Rudolph Campus in Oakdale. At the conclusion of the performance, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and receive ballet lessons from the performers.

Additional performances for prospective students and families, as well as friends and supporters of the College, took place on December 17 and 18
