Dowling Institute to Offer 'Marketing Your Small or Creative Business' Workshop
Entrepreneurs Learn the Secrets to Promoting Their Businesses and Increasing Sales
OAKDALE, NY - The Dowling Institute, Dowling College's continuing education division, is offering a one-night workshop titled "Marketing Your Small or Creative Business" for those looking to increase sales through marketing and media promotions.
The workshop costs $25 and will take place on Tuesday, October 11 from 7-9 p.m. in room 313 of the Racanelli Learning Center, located at Dowling College's Rudolph Campus in Oakdale.
Topics will include public relations, paid advertising, co-branding, special events, promotions, direct marketing and web-based marketing. Participants are encouraged to bring their company marketing materials to class for discussion.
"Many people have great ideas and products, but no idea how to promote or sell. Small, and in particular, creative businesses, often struggle more than traditional businesses when it comes to marketing efforts. This workshop will discuss all the avenues available to them and provide practical tools to put plans into actions," said workshop presenter Linda Williams, area entrepreneur and marketing expert.
The workshop, which was created by Linda, is presented as part of the Dowling Institute Continuing Education program. Williams has used her marketing expertise to gain international exposure for her company, My Cute Bag, Inc., an independent accessories design firm that recently expanded to provide Designer-for-a-day Workshops for kids and adults.
To register or for additional information, please call the Dowling Institute at: (631) 244-3420.
