Dowling College Launches New Graduate, Undergraduate Business Programs
The Paul and Terry Townsend School of Business at Dowling College will launch two new programs for the Spring 2005 term. These programs are designed to enable both undergraduate and graduate students to earn their degrees through an accelerated schedule of dynamic, comprehensive courses.
The One-Year Accelerated MBA program offered at Dowling's Melville Center provides professionals and recent graduates the opportunity to earn their MBA in General Management in just 12 months. Beginning January, 2005, and ending December, 2005, this exciting fast track program is taught by experienced faculty in Saturday classes. The curriculum is infused with real-life, practical learning experiences, including a capstone project that brings industry executives into the classroom. Numerous team-building projects are incorporated into the six-weeks-on, one-week-off rotating schedule.
"This intensive program is compact and comprehensive, allowing students to earn an MBA more quickly than any accredited MBA on Long Island, with a real-life, real-time consulting experience as the capstone course," explained Dr. Debra Fleming, Dean of the Townsend School of Business.
An Accelerated BBA program offered in Melville and at the College's Brookhaven Campus, is a degree-completion program ideal for students with their Associate's degree who are seeking to complete their Bachelor's degree. Adult students can receive credits for their professional experience that will apply toward their degree. Students attend classes on Tuesday evenings and Saturdays and earn a bachelor's degree in management in just 18 months.
