Antiques & Collectibles Auction To Benefit "Idle Hour" Mansion

Many interesting, highly collectible items, including furniture, books, glassware, and much more, have been gathered from the area's premier antique collectors and will go under the auctioneer's hammer at 7 p.m., Saturday, November 13 in the Fortunoff Hall Ballroom on Dowling College's Rudolph Campus in Oakdale.

The event is sponsored by the Dowling College Restoration Committee for W.K. Vanderbilt's Idle Hour, with proceeds going toward maintenance and restoration of the historic mansion and grounds.

Viewing and registration take place in the Hunt Room (located across the hall from the Ballroom) from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Bidding will begin at 7:00 p.m. sharp. There is a 10% buyer premium, but no reserve bidding. A $20.00 refundable deposit will be collected for each bidding number. Master Card, Visa, Discover and American Express will be accepted. All items must be picked up the night of the auction.
