Dowling College Student From Oakdale Receives NYSOBBA Scholarship

Olivia Marie, a resident of Oakdale, has been selected to receive the John G. Karrer Scholarship from the New York State Organization of Bursars and Business Administrators, Inc. (NYSOBBA). Ms. Marie, who is scheduled to graduate with her B.S. in Professional and Liberal Studies in May, 2005, received $250 for the Fall term, and will receive an additional $250 for the Spring term.

Instituted in 1993, NYSOBBA's John G. Karrer Scholarship recognizes students enrolled in a member institution who embody the ideals of the organization through meritorious service in an on-campus business-related activity, through either volunteer work or employment.

The New York State Organization of Bursars and Business Administrators, Inc. (NYSOBBA) is a not-for-profit corporation organized to promote excellence and professionalism among its members in carrying out student related business functions at institutions of higher education in New York.
