Florence M. Glaser Trust Gift Establishes Scholarship Fund For Dowling College Business Students

Dowling College has established the Florence M. Glaser Scholarship Fund with a recent $50,000 gift from the Florence M. Glaser Gift Giving Trust. The Fund will provide partial annual scholarships to either pre-law or MBA/JD candidates who exhibit academic ability and economic need. Candidates will be determined by the results of an annual or semiannual writing competition in the area of business.

"We are excited that the managers of the Florence M. Glaser Gift Giving Trust thought so highly of Dowling's business students to lend generous financial support to help sustain the academic pursuits of these gifted young scholars," said Dr. Albert E. Donor, president of Dowling College.

"We have been most impressed by the caliber of Dowling's business students, and, knowing the importance of encouraging the education of young business leaders on Long Island, we felt Dowling was an appropriate venue to provide our financial assistance," commented Joseph A. Hanshe, Esq., trustee of the Florence M. Glaser Gift Giving Trust.
