Call for Papers

39th Annual Conference of the Northeast Business & Economics Association
October 25-27, 2012

Competitive papers, detailed abstracts, and proposals for panels, in all subspecialties of business and economics are invited for review and presentation at the 39th Annual Conference of the Northeast Business and Economics Association. The NBEA conference provides a forum for a wide range of papers addressing all areas of business, economics, pedagogy, and information systems.  Student papers are welcome!

Guidelines for Submission:

Student authors  may submit works in progress, full papers, or expanded abstracts. All submissions are to be prepared in Word and are to be submitted electronically. The submission must have two title pages. The first page must include the title, primary track designation and the following information about each author: name, affiliation; address; office and home phone numbers; e-mail address. For papers with multiple authors, please note the primary address for future correspondence. The second page must have only the title and the primary track designation.

Accepted Papers:

Accepted papers and abstracts will all be published in the Proceedings of the 39th Annual Conference of the Northeast Business and Economics Association. A proceedings template with publication requirements is available on this site under the link “Proceedings Format.”

Conference Location Information

The conference will take place at Danfords Hotel and Marina.  The hotel is literally at the steps of the arrival point of the Port Jefferson/Bridgeport Ferry. Danfords is located in the heart of historic Port Jefferson Village. The room group rate is only $149. BOOK early, as there are a limited number of rooms available. The group rate is available from NOW until August 24th, 2012.  After August 24th the price of the room increases to $229. From this link you can select and reserve your room.  In addition to the conference rate rooms (priced at $149), you can choose an upgraded room if you so desire. Remember - the group rate of $149 ends on August 24th. 

Student Conference Rate only $100 (if received before October 1, 2012)

Student conference rate received after October 1st is $125.

After your paper acceptance is received in May 2012, the final formatted proceedings paper must be received by: August 1, 2012 to have the paper published in the 2012 NBEA Proceedings.
