Students Learn at Atlantis Marine World

Prof. Siegel's Marine Biology Students recently toured the facilities at Atlantis Marine World in Riverhead. The tour included a look behind-the-scenes at the operation of the aquarium. Marine Biology students learned about the operation of Atlantis, visited the "kitchen," where food is prepared for the diverse animals at the aquarium and viewed the shark tank from behind-the-scenes during their tour.

Dr. Thierfelder Receives The Joseph Burger Humanitarian Award
Dr. Bill Thierfelder will be the first recipient of The Joseph Burger Humanitarian Award. Named in honor of Dowling College’s late education professor, Joseph Burger, the award is being given by the Humanitarian Club. Dr. Thierfelder will be given his citation on May 7th at a meeting of The Student Government Association.

How To Sell Your Books:
- The best time to sell your used books is when finals start.
- We will pay you 50% of the book's selling price if your professor have assigned it for the next term.
- If the book does not meet this criteria, prices are determined by the current national demand.
- All books must be in good condition.
- Some books have little or no monetary value. Out-of-print books and old editions are not in national demand, and Bookstore can't buy them.

For students' protection, we always required those selling books to show current student identification.
