Early Payment Deduction
Once again, Dowling College is happy to announce an early payment deduction. Students who pay their tuition and fees for the Winter/Spring 2008 Semester by December 6, 2007 are eligible for a $15.00 PER CREDIT deduction. If payment is made via the web, there is a $20.00 credit deduction.

This opportunity is only available if you pay your balance in full by December 6, 2007. Students with approved and accepted financial aid as determined by federal and state guidelines are eligible to participate if there is a minimum remaining balance due of $1,000.00.

New Course Offerings
    SPH 4184 Intercultural Communication
    In an increasingly global society, the ability to communicate with people of other cultures is essential. In this class students will study and apply principles of intercultural communication, including the role of disclosure, nonverbal communication, language, context, cultural identity, and perception. Students will also understand obstacles to effective intercultural communication, including bias, uncertainty avoidance and differing coding practices. Throughout the course, students will study particular cultures and subcultures in order to appreciate their unique styles of communication.
