On November 1, 2007 at the Bellport Country Club, President Robert J. Gaffney hosted 148 Ed.D alumni, students and faculty to celebrate the 10 year Anniversary of the Doctor of Education Program in Educational Administration.

The 10 Year Anniversary is a celebration and marks the beginning of a new direction in the Dowling College Ed.D Program. The celebration launched a fund raising effort to build a Leadership Learning Center. The center will provide Ed.D candidates and alumni with a teleconference center with smart-room technology.

Dr. Clyde Payne, Dean of the School of Education, served as the Master of Ceremonies for the event and Dr. Linda Ardito, Provost, recognized all of the Dowling College members who have impacted the success of the Ed.D program.

At the celebration the Ed. D. Alumni Council honored the Original Architects of the Doctor of Education Program: Dr. Kathryn Padovano, Former Dean of the School of Education, Dr. Lloyd Bishop, Administrator for Doctoral Studies and Dr. Charles Rudiger, Professor of Management and Educational Administration, Leadership and Technology.
