During the ice storm on Friday, March 16th, President Robert Gaffney and several Dowling College students donated blood at the Long Island Blood Services site in Bohemia. At that time, students Claire O'Rourke, Tim Ring, Kyle Valentine, Jessica Toussaint, Kelvin King and Marcel Garcia helped to kick off the upcoming blood drive with Pres. Gaffney and Sue Voss, LPN.

Dowling College has earned a strong reputation for its level of participation in the LIBS blood drives, and will be holding the spring drive on Monday, April 16th. President Gaffney is currently serving as the College Chair on the LIBS 2007 Volunteer Leadership Campaign.
