The works of renowned multi-media artist Ahn Pilyun are currently on display at the Anthony Giordano Gallery
 
 
 
The exhibit opened at the gallery with much celebration. Ambassador Oh Joon, UN Korean Mission, Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations, and his family were in attendance. Ambassador Oh Joon described the significant impact Ahn Pilyun*s works have had on the Korean art world, particularly as they relate to social issues.

Also in attendance were Counselor Lee Dohoon, UN Korean Mission, Michael Sorkin, Director of Urban Design and Architecture, City College of New York -- where Ahn Pilyun was chosen as artist-in-residence -- and Amanda McDonald, Director of the Great Neck Arts Council and Director of EyeBeem Gallery in Chelsea.

Among the Dowling attendees were Provost Linda Ardito, Stacey Weir (Acting Director, Anthony Giordano Gallery), Mary E. Abell (Chair, Visual Arts Department) and Yu-wan Wang (Director of International Student Services) .
