Dr.'s Bausch, Voorhees, & Cavuto were the co-chairs of Literacy Day featuring Dr. Katie Wood Ray. This full-day writing workshop/seminar, was extremely successful with the "sell-out" crowd of Long Island teachers and administrators in attendance. The presentation by Dr. Ray was intellectually provocative, entertaining and very well received by the participants. The Literacy Education Department anticipates bringing other literacy scholars to the Dowling Campus in the future.
