Dowling's chapter of the Alpha Upsilon Alpha Reading Honor Society recently inducted new members at a cermony in the Ballroom. The evening featured special guest speaker, Dr. Linda Bausch from Long Island University, and the presentation of the Literacy Leadership Award to Dr. Dale Johnson. The Alpha Upsilon Alpha Honor Society was established in 1984 by the International Reading Association in order to recognize scholarship within the field of reading and language arts. Dowling's Chapter Advisors are Karen Cirincione and Susan Voorhees.
