Ms. Nga Ivory Ho's riveting story of personal struggle and triumph as she fled Vietnam with her family to the U.S. at the end of the Vietnam War highlighted "Vietnam Adventure: Personal Stories of Transition", a presentation held on April 13 in the Hunt Room. Following Ms. Ho's tale, her daughter, Thanh-Tam Ho shared her personal account of being raised in the United States following her mother's immigration. The event, moderated by Dr. Parnel Wickham, began with a historical overview of the country by Dr. Michael Krysko. It also featured Dr. Thomas Wickham, who told his own story of volunteer service in Vietnam in the 1960s. The presentation culminatated with a sampling of traditional culinary delights prepared by Mr. Cong Jonathan Nguyen's wife, Ngoc-Anh, who is a Vietnamese chef.
