Dr. George J. Cavuto gave a presentation entitled, "Naturalistic, Classroom-based Reading Assessment" on March 31 at the Vanderbilt Elementary School in Dix Hills for The Reading Specialists Council of Suffolk. In his talk, Dr. Cavuto cited his 2002 book "Naturalistic, Classroom-based Reading Assessment: A Problem Solving Approach", and the book that he co-authored with Dr. Kathleen Schlichting in 2004 entitled, "From Naturalistic, Classroom-based Reading Assessment to Informed, Balanced Instruction. The presention was attended by many classroom teachers and reading specialists.
