Last Friday, November 11, the freshmen in the Honors Program had a field excursion to New York City where they attended a performance of The Blue Man Group in the East Village, a pub dinner at Hanratty's and an overnight stay at the Vanderbilt-Fabbri Mansion on the Upper East Side. On Saturday morning, after an autumnal romp in Central Park, they visited the Ancient Egyptian and Classical Greek galleries of The Metropolitan Museum. The students were accompanied by Dr. Stephen Lamia, Associate Professor of Visual Arts and Director of the Honors Program, Dr. Mary Abell, Assistant Professor of Visual Arts and Chair of the Visual Arts Department. Their chaperone was Ms. Maryann Campagno of the Department of Human Resources and the photographs included here document a trip that was both fun-filled and academically stimulating.
