The Alpha Beta Chapter of Alpha Upsilon Alpha, the Honor Society of the International Reading Association, held its induction ceremony on April 18, 2005 at Dowling College. Dr. Kathleen Schlichting, Associate Professor of Literacy and Human Development and Learning, Dowling College, received the Alpha Upsilon Alpha Annual Leadership Award at the ceremony.
