Alumni and their families enjoyed a glorious day on Saturday June 18 as they reunited with former classmates at Dowling's 2nd Annual Alumni SummerFest. This year's event featured a luau theme, complete with Hawaiian dancers and singers. Children of all ages took part in a Survivor game, hula hoop contests, made grass skirts, played various games, were entertained by a magician and face painters, and indulged in a barbecue lunch on the banks of the Connetquot River. Distinguished Dowling alumni honored at the event were: Vincent Benenati, CEO of East Coast Orthotics and Prosthetics, Thomas J. Doherty '00, Vice President, FedEx Express, Elio Marcillo, Captain, U.S. Marine Corps., and Susan MacKenzie, Practicing CPA/Partner at Regen, Benz & MacKenzie. Former Dean of Students William Condon was also honored.
