Dowling College and News 12 honored this year's Educator of the Month winners on June 2 at the Woodbury Country Club. Emmy-award-winning News 12 anchor Doug Geed made the welcoming remarks. Dr. Clyde Payne, Dean of Dowling's School of Education, presented the winners with gifts as the honorees and their guests enjoyed dinner. Segments detailing the teachers' accomplishments and featuring photos of them in action aired on News 12 during the past several months. Dowling is now seeking nominations from school districts across Long Island for the 2005-2006 edition of the Educator of the Month program.
