The first Dowling Employee Bowling Challenge was a smashing success as 74 employees bowled at East Islip Lanes on Oct. 18. High scorers were: Dawn Pierpoint, alumni employee team, 236, and Maryann Burgan, non-alumni employee team, 192. Each bowled against Dr. Donor for the King Pin Crown with Maryann emerging victorious.
Rounding out the top 5 bowlers of the evening were Tony Nese, for the alumni employee team with a score of 220 and, from the non alumni employee team, Joie Bilello with a score of 189 and Michael Abcug with a score of 180.
The non-alumni employee team topped the alumni team with an avg. score of 106.15 to 102.47. Participating non-alumni employees will receive one day off, alumni employees will receive one-half day off! The final count of money raised for the Student Activity Center won't be determined until all pledges are collected. Thanks to all who participated!
