Scholarship Opportunity The Office of International Student and Scholar Services is pleased to announce a special JASSO scholarship, funded by the Japanese Ministry of Education and Osaka Gakuin University, for Dowling College students. The scholarship is for up to 12 months and is available for the 2008-2009 academic year only. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage students to study in Japan. Dowling College faculty and staff are asked to recommend students for this scholarship award. This award covers the cost of tuition and the following (airfare is not included): Relocation: ¥150,000 (one-time, upon arrival) Monthly stipend: ¥80,000 per month (for up to 12 months) The total award is ¥1,110,000 ($10,277 at today's exchange rate) when the student completes the entire 12 months.
