Smart Classrooms How-tos

• Obtain the item from the library or other source.
• Fill in the Media Services Request Form.
• Bring the item and request form to the Media Office located on the first floor of the Racanelli center 107.

1. Lower screen: touch the "Screen Control" button, on touch screen this will bring you to a screen that will allow you to lower and raise the screen. Fig. 1
2. Touch the "Return" button at the bottom right hand side of screen this will bring you back to the main menu. Fig. 2
3. Turn projector on by touching the "Pro On" button, you should hear the fan in the projector start then a display on the screen should appear. If this does not happen touch the projector on button. Fig. 1
4. The next step depends on what you plan on doing
   1. Display the computer screen (notes and presentations can be shown)
      • Turn on and log into CP using User id and password
      • Touch "Source Laptop" should see image on monitor and screen. Fig. 1
      * Sound should come on automatically when you turn on the data projector. If you don't have sound you can touch "Pro On" a second time. Turn volume up using the black buttons on the side of touch screen. Test for sound. If still no sound switch back and forth between "Source Main" and "Source Laptop", each time change you must check if you have sound. You may need to do this four or five times. You should try to stay away from audio on/off because you cannot tell if it is no or off. Fig. 1
   2. Show a movie VHS or DVD (this must be arranged ahead of time)
      • Touch "Source Main" screen should be blue or black and say "Video No Input" Fig. 1
      • Touch "Source Selection" you should see a list A-F on touch screen use black buttons to pick your source Video (VHS) or DVD. Fig. 3
      • You will see buttons Play, Stop, Rew and FF. Use them to control your video. Stop the video at end of your class if you would like to start where you left off for your next class. Fig. 4
