| Shared Student Address Book |
Network Operations Center --Chris Ihm -- 9/2006
Back by popular demand, we are preparing to "share" a Student address book to all administrative users. This allows you to create your own distribution lists in GroupWise, for example a list of students in a particular class.
We will update this address book about once a week. There is no way to completely automate the process, so "somebody" will need to remember to do it.
Shortly you will receive an email message indicating that Christopher Ihm would like to share his Student address book with you. Once you "accept" the book it will appear among your other address books. Here is some information about acquiring and utilizing this shared address book that you might find helpful.
- First you need to "accept" the address book. You will receive a message from Christopher Ihm with the subject, "Sharing of Address Book 'Students'." Open the message, then click "Accept Address Book" at the top of the message window.
- Then you can search for students' email addresses when you compose a message:
- Click the New button near the top-left of the window to begin composing.
- To select addresses first click "Address book"

- Now select the address book named "Students (Christopher Ihm)"
from the drop-down menu.

- You can now search for students by last name. Add a user to your list of recipients by putting a check next to his/her name and clicking the To button.
