Certain browser settings can improve your access to Dowling sites. Here is some advice for AOL users, and for all users.
AOL Users: try using another browser:
- Minimize the AOL window.
- Open another browser, like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape.
- Browse to the Groupwise login page in that browser.
If you still prefer to use AOL's browser you may find some help at this link:

You must enable cookies in the browser you are using:
- Internet Explorer 6.0 or later:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click on the “Tools” menu at the top
- Select “Internet Options”
- Click the tab that says “Privacy”
- There is a sliding bar on the left side that should be set to “medium-high” or “medium.”
If it is set to either of the top two settings (high, block cookies), click on it and slide it down to medium or medium-high.
- Click “OK” to close the menus.
- Close Internet Explorer, Restart Internet Explorer (exit the program, launch again)
- Firefox:
- Open Firefox
- Select the Tools menu
- Select Options
- Click on the Privacy icon at the left side of the window
- Make sure there is a check mark in the box next to "Allow sites to set cookies"
- Click OK to close the window.
- Netscape 7.xx, Mozilla:
- From the Edit menu, choose Preferences. (In MacOS X, choose Preferences from the Netscape or Mozilla menu.)
- Select the arrow next to Privacy and Security.
- Click the Cookies category.
- Click the radio button Enable all cookies.
- Click OK. You will need to close and reopen your browser for this to take effect.
Older browsers:
- Internet Explorer 5.5 or earlier:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click on the “Tools” menu at the top
- Select “Internet Options”
- Click the tab that says “Security”
- Click the box that says “Custom Level”
- Scroll down to the section called “Cookies”
- Make sure that “enable” is checked next to “Allow cookies that are stored on your computer.”
- Click OK, then OK.
- Close Internet Explorer, Restart Internet Explorer (exit the program, launch again)
- Netscape 4.7x:
- From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
- Click the Advanced category.
- Click the radio button Accept all cookies.
- Click OK.
