Damien Pagan (Actor) is a Music major at Dowling because music is in his blood and made his Loft debut as drunmer and ensemble player in the Loft's Spring 2006 production of The Odyssey. His grandfather was a concert pianist and Damien has continued the family tradition, playing trumpet and percussion with his current 6 member local band “Loose Change.” Not only has he played with every instrumental ensemble at East Islip High School, but he played in the pit orchestra for their productions of Gypsy and A Chorus Line. He did play the male lead in his middle school production of the operetta Little Mary Sunshine but his voice cracked in the middle of his big solo so he preferred to stick with music after that. He was recruited to join the cast of the Odyssey because of his experience in percussion and musical composition but didn’t realize how thoroughly he would come to enjoy taking part in this postmodern adaptation of the epic poem.
