Dowling alumni Marc Rosen and James P. Wagner discuss the poetry anthology they co-edited, Perspectives: Poetry Concerning Autism and Other Disabilities. The collection, which includes contributions from Marc and James, provides a window into autism from those dealing with it in their lives: parents, children, students. Marc relates his expereinces growing up with autism, particularly with the school system, and offers some guidance to what has come to be known as autistic culture. We also talk about the role of the Internet in all of this, from both editor's experiences writing for theLong Island Examiner to the establishment of Local Gems Press.
