In today's episode, Dr. Manley talks with Dr. Michael Hynes, Assistant Superintendent of Schools for the Plainedge School District and Erin Paschetta, District Administrator for Curriculum for the Comsewogue School District.The topic is the supervision of teachers - how to approach supervision, ways to judge if a lesson is successful, and how to build the capacity of teachers. Mike and Erin discuss what they're looking for when they're in a teacher's classroom, what the pre- and post-conference with the teacher is like, as well as the importance of modeling, the effective use of technology, and more.
Mike earned his Ed.D. from Dowling in 2006 while Erin received her B.A. ('00) and M.S.Ed. ('04) from the College.
